The last period in 2012 for filing J-51 tax abatement and exemption applications with the city's Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) ends today. If mailed, the applications mut be postmarked no later than Dec. 15, 2012. If hand-delivered, the applications must be brought to HPD's Office of Tax Incentive Programs before Dec. 15, 2012.
